The year 2025 in VSCA comes to an official end this weekend with two events for the teams and drivers making the trip to Daytona Beach in Florida. First, VSCA SportsCar Championship teams take to the Daytona International Speedway for the sanctioned VSCA Daytona Test day on Saturday, December 13.

On Sunday December 14, the track opens to a different kind of engine roar: it's time for best iRacing classic car action for the second consecutive year: The second annual VSCA Daytona Classic 2.4 Hour.

The event this year is free for all iRacers (no VSCA membership required) for the sim racing community as a whole to come together, enjoy a good time with classic machinery, and to raise awareness and donations to a good cause: The American Cancer Society.

"This past year and season, we have lost fellow sim racers, friends, loved ones and family members to cancer. We want to remember and honor them, and use the event to come together as a community and support teh valuable work of the American Cancer Society.", said VSCA co-founder and president Benjamin Fischer.

So what exactly will be needed to participate in the event?

"It's pretty simple. Just make sure you join the VSCA Discord Server, go to the #daytona24classic channel, check the pinned message for all the details and then join the hosted session on December 14th, when the track opens around 1500 GMT. That's pretty much it. And don't forget to have fun!", Fischer explained.

There are also no rating or license requirements for the event, nor are there any requirements to submit an officially approved car design. The session will be available via iRacing "Hosted Session" and the race will go a distance of 2 hours and 25 minutes total.

There will be no broadcast of the event.
