The inaugural VSCA SportsCar Championship will come to a conclusion at Road Atlanta on October 8, featuring a grid of 44 cars in total.
Leading the field will be a P2 Prototype class consisting of 16 cars, including championship leaders Element SimRacing and their No. 7 Dallara.
The No. 499 Dallara of 499RACING will make its debut in the ten-hour event, joined by the No. 47 Dallara of Agee Motorsports, who are expanding to a two-car operation for the final race of 2022.
In GT3 all eyes will be on the No. 67 Porsche of Kinetic Racing and whether Torque Freak Racing’s No. 6 Porsche team can bounce back and take the series title after losing the championship lead in the last race.
Two familiar names will be missing on the GT3 grid at Road Atlanta; 12 Hours of Sebring winners Twenty7 Motorsport and their No. 27 BMW have withdrawn from the series after the team dissolved and the No. 77 Porsche of Shamrock SimRacing, who won pole at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park in July, has withdrawn from the series.
Making a much-anticipated return instead, the No. 883 BMW of DensuSimRacing will compete in the Petit Le Mans after missing the last two races at CTMP and Road America and the No. 312 also is back after missing Road America.
Additionally, three new GT3 entries will take the stage in the upcoming race.
FR13DA Sport is entering the No. 911 Porsche to join their No. 13 machine as team-mates at Road Atlanta.
Element SimRacing meanwhile is joining GT3 competition for the first time with their No. 70 Porsche entry.
And last but not least, Albrecht Motorsports joins Element SimRacing and is adding a GT3 entry to their P2 Prototype team, the No. 147 BMW M4 GT3.
The 2022 season finale of the VSCA SportsCar Championship and VSCA Endurance Cup will take the green flag Saturday, October 8 at 16:00 GMT and will be streamed live on the VSCA YouTube channel.
