The first street course of the season, the inaugural Sports Car Challenge of Long Beach will feature a full grid of 55 entries.
Headlined by 15 entries in the top class LMDh, one big news is the return of defending series champions Element Sim Racing and their No. 1 BMW V8 Hybrid to the grid after they missed the 12 Hours of Sebring last month - the first time in VSCA history that the team missed a race.
In LMP2 another 15 entries join the grid, including first-time starters, the No. 38 Dallara of Sapphire SimSport and the No. 13 Dallara of Vision 1 Motorsports, who are expanding to a two-car operation in the series.
The race that is scheduled for a distance of 1 hour and 40 minutes promises to be an exciting one, complemented by 25 entries in GTD, the third and lowest category.
The No. 54 BMW M4 GT3 of MoneyHouse Racing is making its series debut at Long Beach, after the team from Long Island, New York has added a third entry in the series. The team already fields the No. 45 BMW V8 Hybrid in LMDh and another GTD class entry, the No. 32 BMW M4 GT3 in GTD class competition.
