After months of preparations, the big day has finally arrived! On Saturday, November 23rd public registration opens for new teams and new entries for the 2025 VSCA SportsCar Championship.
Entering its fourth season, the series is looking for another year of fair, clean and hard racing on the most popular race tracks of North America on iRacing.
All four classes make a return - a first in the history of the series, after there was at least one class changing or added in the previous three years.
The series also is going back to a true IMSA schedule for the 2025 season, while Full-Course Yellows (FCY) are here to stay to add a unique element to this road racing series.
New Teams that have registered their organization with VSCA by 23:59 GMT on Friday and returning series veteran teams will have a chance to register their new Entries for the 2025 VSCA SportsCar Championship starting Saturday at 16:00 GMT sharp.
In the previous seven days leading up to that, returning teams who competed in the series last season, have already added up to a total of 24 registered entries with GT PRO being the most popular one, with nine of 14 grid spots taken so far.
The second-most popular class so far has been GT AM with seven of 16 grid spots taken so far, by returning teams from last season.
The top class of the series, GTP, has seen a rather slow start to registrations so far, with only four entries registered so far, leaving space for eight more entries to enter the GTP grid.
Finally, LMP2 class has four entries signed up so far, with nine more grid spots up for grabs in the second-highest class of the series. A significant change for the class, same as for GT AM, no "P" rated drivers will be allowed in those two classes starting in 2025, in an effort to improve competiveness for the LMP2 and GT AM class grids.
Team Managers will have to be quick as the final grid spots are most likely to be filled quickly this weekend, once public registration opens. For an up-to-date list of Entries, members may login into the VSCA Paddock with their VSCA membership account.
