With the season opening 24 Hours of Daytona barely in the books, Round 2 of the 2025 VSCA SportsCar Championship is up next on February 8th at the street circuit of Long Beach, California.
In an announcement on Wednesday, VSCA and MV Skinlab confirmed that the Portuguese sim racing livery design service will return for a second straight year as sponsor of the Grand Prix of Long Beach.
The first of two street-course races this season, Long Beach’s twisted turns will host the third third annual MV Skinlab Grand Prix of Long Beach.
“The partnership with VSCA for the Grand Prix of Long Beach is a dream come true.”, Marco Vilela, owner of MV Skinlab said in a press release.
“Long Beach is an incredible and challenging circuit that I've always admired. Combining this with a well-organized championship like VSCA is the perfect opportunity to support a cause I believe in while showcasing my work.”
“By sponsoring the Grand Prix of Long Beach, MV Skinlab aims to reach a wider audience and increase visibility. I'm excited to be a part of this event and believe it will be a fantastic race.”
Benjamin Fischer, president and co-founder of VSCA had this to say: “We appreciate MV Skinlab and the service and level of excellence that Marco provides to the sim racing community at large with his top notch design work. We’re excited to welcome back MV Skinlab as sponsor for Round 2 of our 2025 season and hope fans, teams and drivers will enjoy this race as much as they did last year or more.”
One big change with this year’s edition of the event at Long Beach will be the fact that only GTP and GT PRO class will compete in the race, while LMP2 and GT AM teams will skip this round. The two classes will compete in the other street course event at Detroit Belle Isle instead come May.
About MV Skinlab
What started as a small hobby of combining Marco Vilela’s passion for design with his love for motorsports, especially sim racing, has grown into MV Skinlab.
