As summer is nearing its end, so is the 2025 VSCA summer break, as racing action of the SportsCar Championship resumes at Indianapolis Motor Speedway on August 30th with the 6 Hours at the Brickyard.
But before teams and drivers are focused on chaging lap times and positions in Round 9 of the 2025 season, VSCAracing.com takes a look back at what some of the VSCA members experienced this summer.
Murphy Nichols of Fusion Simsport, whose most recent SportsCar Championship start came in the 2024 season at Daytona, went to Summit Point Motorsports Park this summer.
Christopher Bouchard of Lone Wolf Motorsports and winner of the 2022 24 Hours of Daytona went to an unknown race track for the "Weekend wrench monkey".
Going away from motor racing, and enjoying an activity of a bit slower pace, #67 Kinetic Racing Acura driver and 2022 GTD class series champion Vincent L'Herbier enjoyed horseback riding in Ashcroft, British Columbia, Canada with family from Japan and went camping and riding at Sundance Ranch.
Not traveling but rather opting for a stay-at-home vacation, Benjamin Fischer, 2024 GT PRO class series champion and driver of the #84 Fischer Motorsport Porsche enjoyed slow time and beautiful sunsets at the local lake in Leipzig, Germany.
Once a racer, always a racer, Jukka Tainio, driver of the #112 Rusty Spatulas Racing Corvette this season, traveled from Finland to the 24 Hours of Le Mans and the Nürburgring, Germany, to get his racing fix in during the summer break.
Taylor Parsons, of Keystone Simsport and the #89 Dallara P217 LMP2 who are seventh in the championship standings after losing the championship lead after Sebring in March, also visited Germany, the Nürburgring and eventually also England.
Lukas Santos, driver of the #89 Keystone Simsport Dallara P217 this season meanwhile took advantage of the 2025 summer break to travel to Singapore.
Showing everybody, that being a ultra competitive racer and also having a sense for slow creative activities aren't mutually exclusive, #93 Digital Chicane Acura driver and 2024 GT AM class series champion Kyle Loh spent time in a creative workshop this summer, painting a cup that we're sure he will use to drink many cups of coffee going forward.
Indianapolis, final stretch of 2025 season up next
The 6 Hours at the Brickyard marks Round 9 of the 2025 SportsCar Championship. On August 30th teams and drivers will return to track action at the world-famous circuit to kick off the final three-race stretch of the season that will ultimately conclude with the fourth annual VSCA Petit Le Mans at Road Atlanta in October.
