Stay Up-To-Date via VSCA Discord

VSCA has published the 2026 SportsCar Championship Regulations & updated VSCA Sporting Code on October 26, 2025. You can find them via the menu item "Regulations" or via the announcement on the VSCA Discord Server here.

If you haven't done already, please make sure you join the VSCA Discord Server and follow the #announcements channel, for all important announcements as they published by the Organizers.

The Series Grid can be monitored in the VSCA Paddock, which is the members area website that is accessible to all approved VSCA members.

If you are completely new to VSCA and you don't yet have a VSCA membership, the steps below outline what you need to do, to get yourself - and your Team, if you are a Team Manager (TM) or Assistant Manager (AM) - ready today, for when registration opens for the 2026 season.

Step 1: Become an official Member of VSCA

Before you can compete in or register for the VSCA SportsCar Championship, you must become an officially approved member of VSCA. You can register to apply for a VSCA membership here.

In order to become an official member of VSCA, you must meet the following requirements.

  • You must have an active iRacing subscription with a valid iRacing ID
  • You must have & maintain an active membership on the VSCA Discord Server using your full real name
  • You must at least be 16 years old (previously the minimum age was 18 years)
  • Drivers only: Your iRacing Sports Sports Car iRating must be between 1500 and 4250
  • Drivers only: You must have a minimum of 20 starts on iRacing in the Sports Car category
  • You must have proficient English language skills, verbally and in writing
  • You must read, accept & confirm the VSCA Sporting Code

Step 2: Join a Team or Register your Team

After you have completed your VSCA membership registration, you can immediately login into the VSCA Paddock with your new account.

Once your VSCA membership application has been reviewed by the Organizers (usually within 1-3 days), your membership status in the VSCA Paddock will change from "Pending Approval" to "Free Agent". At that point, you can join a Team or in if you are Owner/TM/AM of your Team, you can register your Team inside the VSCA Paddock.

Being part of a Team one way or another is required in order to be licensed for the SportsCar Championship. A Team is also required to be registered, before the TM or AM can register an Entry for the 2026 season (see step 3). The sooner the TM registers the Team with VSCA, the better. At minimum, please give VSCA 48 hours to process the Team registration.

Important: Inside VSCA the word "Team" means the organization you're part of. This is different from "Team" as iRacing defines it. What iRacing calls "Teams" in the iRacing UI, VSCA calls "Entries". Each VSCA SportsCar Championship Entry must have its unique iRacing Team ID which must stay the same throughout the entire season.

If you want to register your own team as TM/AM, you must meet the following additional requirements listed below.

Requirements for TM/AM

  • You must be at least 21 years old
  • You must be owner the Team or you must be authorized to represent the Team you are about to register
  • You must actively manage the Team inside VSCA and serve as point of contact between VSCA and your Team
  • You must register your Team with VSCA, via the option "Register Team" in the VSCA Paddock
  • You must ensure that all your Drivers, Crew Chiefs & Spotters register for a VSCA membership
  • After they registered and were approved by VSCA, you must add all your Drivers, Crew Chiefs & Spotters to your Team in the VSCA Paddock
  • After you added all your Drivers, Crew Chiefs & Spotters to your Team in the VSCA Paddock, you must ensure they all complete the 2026 SportsCar Championship Licensing Process (see step 4).

Step 3: Register your Entry/Entries for the 2026 Season (TM/AM only)

Registering an Entry for a Team is done by the TM or AM after Entry registration opens for the 2026 season.

The detailed process is as folllows:

  • TM/AM registers an Entry via the VSCA Paddock, the Entry will set to status "Pending Approval"
  • Organizers will review the Entry and
    • approve the Entry, upgrade the Entry to status "Design Required" & place the Entry to the Unconfirmed List or
    • reject the Entry, set the Entry to status "Rejected". The TM/AM will be granted to send one (1) email to inquire on the reasons for the rejection
  • TM/AM upload a Car Design & Spec Map for the Entry via the VSCA Paddock
  • Organizers will review the Car Design & Spec Map and
    • approve the Car Design & Spec Map, and
      • promote the Entry to the Series Grid & upgrade the Entry to status "Payment Required" or
      • promote the Entry to the Reserve List & upgrade the Entry to status "On Reserve List"
  • Once the Entry is on the Series Grid and on status "Payment Required", the TM/AM will be required to pay the Entry Fee within 48 hours to secure the grid spot or the Entry will be demoted to the Reserve List
  • The TM/AM will NOT have to pay the Entry Fee for an Entry until the Entry is promoted to the Series Grid and to status "Payment Required". At that point the TM/AM will have 48 hours to pay the Entry Fee
  • Organizers will send a Payment Confirmation email to the TM/AM upon receiving the Entry Fee. This email will include:
    • Confirmation of Entry Fee payment receipt
    • Confirmation that Entry has been processed to new Entry Status (“Confirmed for Grid”)
    • Reminder of Entry Fee refund regulations
    • PayPal Transaction ID
    • Date and Time of Payment
    • Reminder of the Entry Declaration System, that requires TM/AM to declare the Entry's participation & drivers lineup for each race, between one (1) month before the race and the Entry Deadline of the race

Each class has its own Reserve List. Entries will be sorted on the Reserve List by the "Reserve List Date". This date is determined either by when the Car Design & Spec Map were approved, or when the Entry was demoted from the Series Grid to the Reserve List

One (1) grid spot per car category (GTP class, LMP2 class and combined GT3 category, consisting of GT PRO + GT AM class) is reserved for each car model/car.

Entry Registration for the 2026 season will open at three separate dates depending on specific criteria.
