Making headlines going into the 10-hour endurance classic is Fury Simsport. The team out of Milton Keynes, England is making its VSCA SportsCar Championship debut in LMP2 class, fielding the #30 Dallara P217.
Valkyrie Exype and their #677 Dallara P217 meanwhile won't return to the grid at Road Atlanta, as the team has departed the series, for at least the remainder of the season.
After missing the last championship round at Road America, KTD Competicíon has confirmed that their #13 McLaren 720S GT3 will return to the GT AM class grid at Petit Le Mans. The team's best run of the season was a 2nd place finish at Detroit Belle Isle.
Missing from the grid at Road Atlanta is the #77 Adrenaline Motorsports Lamborghini Hurácan GT3. The team out of Daytona Beach, Florida has struggled with inconsistency this year, missing four out of the last five races already and having four finishes outside the top ten in five starts this year. The team's lone good result was a 2nd place at Long Beach in February. With missing the season finale, the team's return to the series in 2026 is very much in doubt.
One of the paddock's most popular teams and always one of the fan favorites, Vulture Motorsports has caused shockwaves in the VSCA community on Wednesday, announcing the withdrawal of all its remaining entries, the #64 and #65 Ford Mustang GT3 in GT AM and the #963 Porsche 963 GTP and that it will close its race shop indefinitely, immediately. The team had been a mainstay in VSCA competition ever since its inaugural season in 2024.
Bravo Snow Schatten meanwhile also announced the withdrawal of the #24 Porsche 911 GT3 R (992) from Petit Le Mans. The team had only participated in two races this season, at Indianapolis and Road America, drawing a best result of 6th place at Indy.
Other entries to withdraw from the race include the #312 Real Pixel Motorsport Acura and #515 Wolf Motorsport Simracing Porsche in GT AM, the #100 Rookie Esports Dallara and #531 Pandemonium eSports x - Sim-Lab Dallara in LMP2.
This leaves a total of 41 cars expected to roll off the grid at Road Atlanta on Saturday, as the 2025 VSCA SportsCar Championship reaches its conclusion and the new SportsCar Championship and Endurance Cup champions will be crowned.
