The 2025 VSCA SportsCar Championship reaches its crescendo this Saturday with the fourth running of the Petit Le Mans at Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta, the traditional ten-hour season finale that will determine not only the series champions but also the victors of the five-round VSCA Endurance Cup. After nine rounds of hard racing across North America, four classes and eight endurance-tested champions are set to be crowned.
For teams and drivers, the stakes couldn’t be higher. Endurance Cup points will be awarded at the four-hour, eight-hour, and finish marks, adding extra intrigue and strategy to what is already the most grueling race of the year.
World of SimRacing Poised for the VSCA and GTP Crown
Throughout 2025, World Of SimRacing Team’s #51 Cadillac V-Series.R has set the benchmark in VSCA’s top class, with consistency that outlasted even the fastest rivals. With 3515 points, they hold a commanding 344-point advantage over the ever-reliable #32 Wastegate Racing squad and seem destined to take home their first VSCA championship on Saturday evening.
Behind them, Rising Panda Racing’s #46 Acura ARX-06 GTP will look to carry its late-season momentum and capitalize on any misfortune ahead. The team not only stands third in the overall championship but also leads the GTP Endurance Cup by a single point over PULSAR Torreense eSports Team’s #88 Porsche 963. That duel could produce fireworks through the final hours at Road Atlanta.
Rookie Sensation on the Verge of LMP2 Glory
In LMP2, it has been the year of Twin Turn SR by Debeka Bornheim. The German team’s #23 Dallara P217 enters the finale with a 162-point edge over Vision 1 Motorsports and Tri-State Racing, both of whom remain mathematically alive but will need nothing short of a miracle to overturn the deficit.
Twin Turn’s debut season has been nothing less than spectacular—consistent podiums, a recent partnership with Debeka Bornheim, and a disciplined approach that echoes a team far more seasoned. Should they close the deal, it would be one of the most impressive rookie campaigns in VSCA history.
The LMP2 Endurance Cup, however, is anything but decided. Keystone Simsport (#89) and Vision 1 Motorsports (#11) arrive tied on points, setting up a winner-takes-all showdown that could hinge on who leads after the eight-hour mark. Expect long-game strategy and calculated aggression as the ten-hour clock ticks down.
Also of note, Fury Simsport will make its long-awaited series debut in the #30 Dallara P217, adding fresh intrigue to the already talent-packed prototype field.
Sim City Eyes GT PRO Triple Crown
In GT PRO, Sim City Racing’s #71 Porsche has been the story of the season—three straight wins to open the year at Daytona, Long Beach, and Sebring gave them a cushion that has proven impossible to erode. Though the team hasn’t returned to victory lane since March, their relentless consistency keeps them 272 points clear of iRacing Today Motorsports’ #157 Mercedes.
The Las Vegas-based outfit also leads the GT PRO Endurance Cup by four points over the #917 PULSAR eSports Team McLaren, and with solid finishes at Sebring and Watkins Glen already on their résumé, they could become the first team in VSCA history to sweep all three GT PRO championships—overall, Sprint Cup, and Endurance Cup—with the same entry.
Further down the order, Adrenaline Motorsports’ #77 Lamborghini Huracán GT3 returns to the grid after missing Road America, giving the Italian marque its lone representative once more. For a team that has struggled to find rhythm—four missed rounds and only one top-ten finish since February—Petit Le Mans presents one last chance to finish the season on a high.
A Tightrope Battle for GT AM Title
If any class is too close to call, it’s GT AM. Only 108 points separate the top three teams, with the #83 Off in the Esses Racing McLaren leading the way on 2911 points, ahead of the #64 Vulture Motorsports Ford Mustang GT3 and #34 Wastegate Racing Chevrolet Corvette. The slightest mistake could swing the entire championship table.
Off in the Esses has been the picture of consistency—eight starts, eight top-ten finishes, and three poles. But endurance has been Vulture’s specialty, and Wastegate’s knack for showing up strong in long races could see the title go down to the final lap.
In the Endurance Cup, Off in the Esses also leads the way with 36 points, but Vulture Motorsports, Wolf Motorsport Simracing, and SWF Motorsports all remain within striking distance. One mishap in the opening four hours could change the complexion of both championships entirely.
Returning to the grid, KTD Competición’s #13 McLaren 720S GT3 is back after missing Road America, while SRN Motorsports’ #74 Corvette will look to rebound after a devastating crash last round that ended their race early.
A Grand Finale in the Foothills of Georgia
With barely one percent chance of rain and mostly cloudy skies forecast, conditions look nearly perfect for endurance racing. The ten-hour classic will go green at 14:00 GMT on Saturday, and by the time the sun sets over Braselton, Georgia, four champions—and four exhausted but proud crews—will have etched their names into VSCA history.
For some, it’s about sealing the deal. For others, it’s about redemption. But for all, it’s about survival. After twelve races, eleven championship rounds and nearly 74 hours of competition, the 2025 VSCA SportsCar Championship comes down to one final endurance test—the Petit Le Mans.
